Issue 2 - Spomenik hunting in North Macedonia
GPX files:
You can find the GPX files for our lap of North Macedonia in this Google Drive folder. The files are directly downloaded from the recorded version of our trip, and so naturally there’ll be a few wrong turns or deviations where we stopped to pet a dog or look for a restaurant.
Komoot
For some reason, I plotted this trip as a single massive route on Komoot and tried to use that to navigate with on my Wahoo. Needless to say, it was extremely unwieldy and crashed my head unit a few times. Not recommended as a navigation solution, but fun to explore the map.
Issue 1 - Hemingway’s Spain

The GPX files are in this Google Drive folder. They’re broken down into days, apart from the fifth and six which, for a reason I no longer remember, were plotted as one mega-route. There’s quite a bit of overlap between the daily routes (a bit of day two at the end of day one, a bit of day three to start day four) to allow for the variable nature of finding bivvy spots…
You can’t always know exactly where you’ll sleep. I do know that we slept at roughly 141km into the day 5/6 route after buying dinner in Tafalla, if you want to replicate our progress faithfully.
